De Peyler Projektontwikkeling heeft in de gemeente Almere een uniek, drijvend ‘designdorp’ op open water ontwikkeld: Booneiland. In de Noorderplassen is er in een brede waterzone ruimte voor vijf eilanden. Eén daarvan zou voor een groot deel drijvend kunnen worden uitgevoerd. Het hart van het eiland wordt gevormd door een overdekt paviljoen dat fungeert als ontmoetingsplein en carport. In totaal komen er 19 drijvende watervilla's. De villa's, allen ontworpen door de bekende Nederlandse ontwerper Piet Boon zijn er in drie verschillende uitvoeringen.
